Painting the Town "Red"
Last Friday was an awesome day for me! I got to copy at the NGA then meet up with my art pal Elizabeth Floyd to see the Outwin Boochever competition at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery (more on that to come). Later that night I went out with some more of my talented art buddies, Tricia Ratliff and Debra Keirce for a fun girl's night out to see the Tony Award winning play "Red" about the life/work of Mark Rothko. The rendition we saw is being put on by the Elden Street Players in Herndon VA. The set & acting were top notch--I would recommend this to all in the area. Hurry now to get your tickets because the play only runs through the end of this week, June 29th. Click here for more info. http://www.eldenstreetplayers.org/shows/25th-season-2012-2013-1/redjun7-29
